The Numark Mixdeck is a complete system for every DJ who mixes different kinds of music sources. Whether your music is on CDs, MP3 CDs, iPod, USB flash drives, your computer, or even other analog players, you can mix and perform with it all using Mixdeck. This performance station has the traditional layout you’re used to, but that’s where time-honored DJ tradition meets Numark innovation.

Format Freedom

The Mixdeck has two large, illuminated touch-sensitive platters and controls for cueing and scratching your music. Each fast, reliable, smooth, slot-loading drive works with both CDs and MP3 CDs. You can also connect a USB flash drive on each deck for access to thousands of MP3s without taking a computer or CDs to a gig.

But the decks aren’t just MP3/CD players – they also work as software controllers. Just connect Mixdeck to your PC or Mac with a single USB cable and you’re seamlessly controlling the music on your computer. The system’s MIDI communication enables you to map virtually any DJ software for direct connection from your fingers to software.

The Mixdeck’s USB connection can also receive two stereo audio channels from your PC or Mac, allowing you to mix software audio with CD tracks.

The Mixdeck also has an integrated universal iPod dock so you can play tracks from your iPod and even record your set into the popular portable music device. The system also has a dedicated iPod fader, physical transport and menu controls, and click knob so no need to touch the iPod once it’s docked.

Mighty Mixer

The Mixdeck has a fully featured mixer built in. Each input channel has its own gain and three-band EQ/rotary kills (+12dB/-INF). The mixer channels control the audio from the system's onboard players, incoming audio from your computer, or external sources such as MP3s players, turntables and more. Mixdeck has two sets of stereo, switchable line/phono inputs for external sources. The replaceable crossfader has switchable slope and reverse so you can alter its performance based on your preferences.

Full mic controls are at your fingertips thanks to Mixdeck’s 6.3mm mic input with its own gain and ±15dB high and low EQ. There’s also a complete cueing section with dual 6.3mm and 3.5mm headphone outputs, dedicated cue gain and mini-crossfader control. You can keep an eye on your master output levels with the Mixdeck’s dual-colour stereo LED meters.

The system has a versatile output section too, with balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA stereo Main outputs, as well as Record and Booth outs for sending your mix to different locations and systems including recording to your iPod. There’s also a direct stereo output from each deck for use with timecode control interfaces including Serato Scratch LIVE software or external effects processors.

Delightful Decks

Mixdeck’s advanced platters are touch-sensitive for amazing accuracy and smooth control of tracks on discs, USB flash drives, and software. The outer rings illuminate for visual indication of deck performance and mode. You can adjust the players to perform just like vinyl on turntables thanks to independent start and stop-time controls on each deck.

FX Flavour

On top of playing all kinds of music media, both decks enable you to add flavor to your performances with integrated, beat-synced DSP effects that include chop, echo, filter, pan, flanger, and phaser. Each is completely adjustable and a dedicated wet-dry fader controls them all.

Pitch Power

Mixdeck contains a set of pitch and beat tools that will help you with harmonic mixing and beat matching. Start playing a track and the system automatically analyzes the BPM (tempo), and displays it on screen. There is also a tap tempo button for manual BPM entry. You can alter the track’s BPM by ±6, 12, 25, and 100% using the pitch fader. For each of those ranges, you can engage Key Lock, which holds the pitch (key) of the track while you independently manipulate its BPM. There’s also a set of pitch-bend buttons on each track for quick alterations.

Real Time Remixing

Mixdeck gives you a complete range of remixing tools for the creative DJ, including seamless looping, sampling, and easily accessible hot cues. Numark’s familiar Bleep/Reverse gives you the ability to keep time moving forward while you cut or reverse the track.

You can play tracks from discs in single-track, continuous, and programmable playback modes to best suit your style of playing. Fader Start enables the system to start playing the track you have cued up when you move the crossfader for effortless transitions. You can also use Fader Start with compatible CD players connected to the inputs.

The V7 sends control information over USB at more than ten times the standard MIDI rate. This innovative communication technique yields extremely high-precision, low-latency control.

There's nothing like dropping the needle on a record for quickly locating a point in the track. Numark took that idea and developed Numark's own modern take on it with the Strip Search, a unique virtual-needle-drop touch strip. You can locate a point instantly within the track using the on-screen waveform and Strip Search.

Five hot-cue-assign buttons on each deck digitally mark your cues on the track. These marker points are recallable in ITCH, and you can even load Scratch LIVE cue points into ITCH.

Numark developed an extensive loop-controls section for creative remix capabilities. You can choose between manual and auto-loop functions, while an automatic BPM analyzer further assists loop makers. Creating automatic smart loops of any measure length is a breeze, and you can mutilate and modify to your heart's content with a variety of controls such as Doubling, Halving, Shift, and manual controls. Multiple loop banks make the V7 a great choice for scratch and club DJs alike.

Beat matching is straight ahead with 100mm, smooth, stiff pitch sliders. Plus and minus buttons are back by popular request for bending. There's also a zero-point LED, so it's easy to know when you're in the middle.

Audio quality:
Numark took extraordinary care in selecting the components of the audio signal chain. The V7 contains a host of professional audio connectors and a multichannel, 24-bit USB digital-audio interface. It outputs high-resolution, 24-bit audio to the sound system on XLRs and RCAs.

Classic Construction
The V-1 Classic boasts a set neck for seemingly endless sustain, and Schecter's "Ultra Access" for hitting those high frets. The body is made of korina wood (like many a classic V), which is like mahogany on steroids--sweet and responsive no matter the body shape.

The 25.5" scale neck, made of 3-piece mahogany, features 22 jumbo frets and an ebony fingerboard with crème dot inlays to match the guitar's binding.

Seymour Duncan Pickups
Like the other Classic Collection models, the V-1 Classic features a Custom Custom humbucker in the bridge position, complete with an Alnico II magnet for warm and smooth highs, more midrange, and a spongy bottom end--perfect for the player who needs a little more juice with their vintage tone. In the neck position is a '59, for vintage-correct humbucker sound: warm, defined clean tones and full, bright distorted tones.

A three-way switch selects between pickups (each has its own volume), and the coil-tap on the tone knob lets you quickly boost output with standard humbucker wiring or back things off to single coil depending on the tune or your own playing preference.
